| Info: | Over the past three years the Federal Government, WA State Government, and WA Department of Education and Training have published key strategic documents that have emphasised, as a priority, the need to improve student literacy outcomes. To help schools address this priority DET has stated within its "Classroom First Strategy", “Focus 2009” and "Literacy Improvement Strategy" the need for primary schools to develop and implement a Whole School Literacy Plan to ensure all schools have a coherent school wide strategy to improve student literacy performance and learning outcomes across K-7.
