Description This one day workshop is designed to explore the cross curricula agendas in the Australian Curriculum taking literature as a meaningful conduit for delivery and high impact learning for all. The outcome of the day is intended to support shcools in mappying meaningful links between the Australian Curriculum cross curricular starands and whole school literacy priorities, through literature in context.
Key Outcomes:
- To develop a deeper appreciation of the role of literature in engaging students and raising student outcomes across the curriculum.
- To analyse and de-construct the cross-curricula priorities and their role in the classroom.
- To promote the ability of students to demonstrate engagement with the cuross-curricula priorities through literature.
- To address the issues of systems accountability and coverage, on a number of levels.
- To give deep meaning and opportunities for developing higher order thinking and social values across the curriculum.
