Deep and Reflective Learning
WAPPA Professional Learning Services provides learning for school leadership on 3 broad levels. All of our professional learning aligns with the AITSL standards for school leadership and the draft standards for professional learning for School Leaders. At the 'Deep & Reflective Learning' Level, WAPPA provides opportunities for the profession to engage with a deep, rich, reflective professional discourse. Some of the learning available at this level will carry post graduate accreditation, certification or prior learning credits. The range of opportunity at this level includes post graduate studies in partnerships with universities, school based research, action learning conversations international study trips, project development, writing & publication, coaching, extended collective learning programs and networks both online and at the local site. The peak event is our annual leadership conference which is advertised at the WAAPA website. Any WAPPA member is eligible to apply for any one of the funds or awards available annually through WAPPA to support these learning opportunities.
