Description: This workshop will be based on the WAPPA Publication 'Mapping the English Australian Curriculum for Kindergarten / Preschool Students' and will focus on Mapping the English Australian Curriculum K-2, models of intentional teaching, scope and sequence. This will give early childhood teachers the 'What to Teach'.
The session will include:
- defining a balanced program, examining the EYLF and the Early Years of Schooling DoE document;
- covering the general capabilities and cross curricula priorities in the Australian Curriculum;
- detailed mapping of the content of the English Australian Curriculum in the K-2 years;
- examples of scope and sequencing in the English learning area; and
- explicity teaching cycles - ISTAR model
