This course focuses on developing and implementing effective instructional programs to
systematically teach decoding skills and strategies.
It specifically addresses improving literacy outcomes for students through the
development decoding strategies, teaching phonics, vocabulary development and
developing sight vocabulary in junior Primary classrooms.
It makes pragmatic connections to Whole School Literacy Planning and classroom
practice.
