This week saw WAPPA stalwart and Life Member, Tom Campbell, step down from his Member Support Officer duties, after many years of dedicated service.

Tom was awarded a WAPPA Service Award in 2014 and Life Membership in 2016. He has always been a strong advocate of WAPPA and has always gone above and beyond his role, to support members across the state. Since taking on an MSO role, Tom has been instrumental in helping create and then support numerous Collegial Groups. Such was his work in this field, that at least one Collegial Group has been named in his honour.

The Business Centre farewelled Tom this week, with a small morning tea, surrounded by the team of MSOs here at WAPPA. In true Tom fashion, he had plenty of feedback as to how to improve the role of the MSOs, in order to better meet the needs of our members.

Tom will be truly missed around the Business Centre, but I am confident it isn’t the last we have seen or heard of him.
