Get Involved

Australian Primary Principals Day

Friday 6 August is Australian Primary Principals Day and we are encouraging all schools and communities to get involved and celebrate the wonderful work of Primary Principals, Deputy Principals and the leadership teams in which they work.  Please use #PrincipalsDay2022 in your social media pages and feel free to tag WAPPA and send us images and stories of your events.

Online Vaping Session

WAPPA has organised an online session for members to learn more about the Minister of Education and Training's new strategy to address vaping and e-cigarettes.  The session will be held online on Monday 1 August 2022, at 3:30pm
Members are invited to join Terry Healy, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister for Education and Training, for a discussion around vaping and e-cigarettes. This will include:

  • clarifying what vapes may contain and the harmful effects of vaping on young people;
  • the campaign that Department of Education and Department of Health recently launched, and;
  • as an opportunity to discuss your experiences and ask questions.

An IKON video link about the new strategy can be found here

New WAPPA Facebook Page

Are you aware that WAPPA has created a new Facebook Business Page, for anyone to access? This page will contain a variety of updates, events, PL and Partner information from the Business Centre.  We would encourage all members to Like and Follow this new page.  Members of our closed page will still retain access to that page, in order to have collegial discussions and share resources directly with other WAPPA members.
