Chapter Purpose
At WAPPA, our Chapters are essential in fostering community engagement and advocating for members’ interests. Chapters were established to provide two-way communication between members and the WAPPA Board and Business Centre, especially on matters of ADVOCACY. These communities are an integral part of the Association.
WAPPA Chapters provide communication and networking opportunities to discuss issues and priority areas for WAPPA and Primary education in WA.
Guiding Principles
Chapters within WAPPA are organized according to geographical regions, establishing connections with Department of Education (DoE) Networks to ensure alignment and collaboration across educational sectors. Each Chapter operates with a degree of autonomy, allowing its members to tailor processes and initiatives to suit their specific needs and priorities.
Each Chapter has an elected Chair who represents the group and provides feedback to the Association. Chapter Chairs are granted the opportunity to participate in State Assemblies where pertinent topics are discussed and policies are formulated, fostering effective communication and advocacy within the organization.
