To support Aspirant members’ professional growth, WAPPA facilitates a Professional Colleague program.

Each Aspirant member is assigned a Professional Colleague who they will meet with on a semi-regular basis for an opportunity to discuss current work challenges and their career path. Meeting schedules, agendas and goals are set individually by each pair.

Both the Aspirant member and the assigned Professional Colleague will bring their own personal experience, skills and knowledge to the partnership.

Aspirant members are also encouraged to browse the Leadership Institute website to explore the suite of professional learning offerings for suitable aspiring principals. Once an aspirant member has completed a Leadership Institute aspiring leader program, they are offered the opportunity to work shadow another experienced leader.
